Why Innovation?
Innovation comes in many flavors. Innovation for operational efficiency, Innovation for new products or services, and even innovation for innovation’s sake. With modern tools, the idea to prototype to marketable product timeline has drastically been reduced. As a result, it is much easier to get to market with a new product. It is also much easier for competitors to leapfrog your creation. I may be able to help in several ways:
- An outside perspective
- Based on my experience in several industries
- As an inventor in the areas of robotics, biofabrication, bioprinting, software development, automated systems, tissue engineering, cell therapy, biomimetics, biomaterials, vascular engineering, imaging, etc.
My History
Since I was a child, I have been inventing new gadgets and inventions. Early on, I designed and built computer controlled robot systems, winning many awards for my efforts. After college, I designed one of the first multi-processing systems for cardiac research and developed AI algorithms. I then developed custom operational software systems for several companies based on their business models. While working towards my doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, I developed several lab techniques, discovered how to create an optimal environment for growing blood vessels in the lab, and innovated new imaging modalities. Since graduating, I have designed and implemented new bioprinting features, increasing several operational features by many times. In construction, I led collective innovation efforts resulting in a 6-fold increase in the number of homes that could be built per year. If you can’t tell, I love starting and solving problems.
